Who was aboard AirAsia Flight QZ8501? A family, veteran pilots, a fiance and “Missionaries” – This is Real!

Who was aboard AirAsia Flight QZ8501? A family, veteran pilots, a fiance and “Missionaries”

It was interesting to note “Missionaries” in the CNN broadcast. It’s a mainstream word. It’s also interesting to note Missionaries were in a majority Muslim country which is fine, they have to do what they think they need to.

But what is also of note is what would Muslim “Missionaries” be called if something tragic like this happened? Would they even be identified as Missionaries spreading Islam? Would they be given such a formal title or what term would be given to them to describe them?

I researched 2 things: The term Missionary is most commonly used for Christian missions, but can be used for any creed or ideology.
And also: Dawah, Islamic missionary work, means to “invite” (in Arabic, literally “calling”) to Islam, which is estimated to be the second-largest religion, after Christianity.
